Testing Neutral Zone of a Patient With Mechanical Neck Pain

Watch NAIOMT faculty instructor Michael Lucido examine the “neutral zone” of a patient with mechanical neck pain and hypermobility at C4-5. Examining the neutral zone is valuable because it has the potential to guide treatment directed to a specific segment while also teaching the patient a more global muscle re-education and posture correction program. This technique is taught in the NAIOMT courses C-616 Cervical Spine II and C-725 Advanced Spinal Manipulation A.
