CLINICAL EXPERIENCE Throughout my professional career, I have challenged myself to effectively integrate clinical reasoning, pain science, specific exercise prescription, functional biomechanics, and return to sport into patient care. My interests lie in helping you optimize movement patterns to develop greater performance, durability, and reliability so your body can thrive while performing activities that are meaningful to you. My manual therapy background has given me an appreciation for the nuances of human movement and the influence our nervous system has on our motor control.
LEADERSHIP In addition to patient care, I have been fortunate to support many people and teams throughout my career. I bring a high level of emotional investment and servant leadership practices to help inspire those around me to achieve their potential. My purpose has always been to lead with integrity, humbleness, and transparency. I take the time to listen to what matters most to you and channel your motivation into tangible steps toward your growth.
MENTORSHIP I have deliberately surrounded myself around outstanding mentors throughout my life. Each mentor has played a role into developing the person I am today. I have the deepest gratitude and thanks for all my mentors—you know who you are! I have made plenty of clinical mistakes throughout my career, which have made me a better clinician. I feel fortunate to have been part of organizations that have supported self-reflection and collaboration. With people in our lives to guide, inspire, and motivate, our potential for greatness soars. I take great responsibility and joy in being available to clinicians and aspiring leaders who are committed to challenge their professional growth. There is no greater investment than in one’s self.
ROOTS My story begins on a farm in one-stoplight town in north central Montana. Growing up surrounded by a supportive community, a strong work ethic, and beauty will forever be part of me. My journey West began at Whitman College where I enjoyed four years of incredible growth, building friendships, and playing college basketball. Following Whitman, I attended physical therapy school at the University of Washington in Seattle, graduating in 2006. During this time, I was lucky enough to meet my wife, develop a worldly travel bug, and nurture an appreciation for all the outdoor activities the PNW has to offer. My wife, Laura, and I have two amazing kids who give us purpose and joy. We are thankful for our friends and family for providing such unwavering support and inspiration to pursue our dreams.

He also has spoken at local community groups, APTA SIG and local APTA conferences.
“I always enjoyed being active, so I naturally became interested in physical therapy. Orthopedic physical therapy is like putting together a puzzle. Finding the right pieces to construct a care program to address the needs of the patient while finding the right exercises to help them adapt and recover. I enjoy educating patients on their issues and helping them recognize the impact of their daily activities on their health and wellness. This allows me to tailor a plan to their lives to help them recover and prevent reinjury.”
“There’s a long history of “PT” being an acronym for “pain and torture,” but I’ve worked most of my career to change this perception. It’s important to create a safe environment where a patient can express how they’re feeling as we work together to help them reach their optimal health and function.”
Outside of the clinic, Terry enjoys family time with his wife, children, as well as running, hiking, traveling, reading, and is a self-described “rudimentary” guitar player.

Following careful consideration, he stepped away from his CFI and FIIT positions to focus on his growing private practice and his young family.
