Gail Molloy received her physical therapy degree from the University of Colorado Health Science Center in 1984. Since 1989, she has owned and operated a private practice in Englewood , CO . She passed her orthopaedic manual therapy exams in 1991 and her advanced manipulative exam in 1993. She has taught courses in specialty areas of orthopedic care for the spinal cord injured and arthritis population. She has taught for the NAIOMT since 1992. Gail received the Bob Doctor service award from the Colorado APTA. She is currently Vice Chairman for NAIOMT. Gail is currently pursuing her doctorate degree at Andrews University , Berrien Springs , MI.

Kathleen Stupansky, PT, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT Kathy Stupansky graduated from the University of Wisconsin ( Madison ) in 1981. She has been certified in advanced manual therapy techniques since 1993 and an instructor with North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) since 1992. She is currently the Clinical Director at Physiotherapy Associates-Aurora. She has lectured and taught several courses for NAIOMT and to various clinics and study groups. As the faculty representative of the Board of Directors of NAIOMT, she functions as a liaison between participants and the faculty. She has been actively involved in the examinations process in progression toward certification with NAIOMT. She was accepted as a Fellow with the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists by Portfolio Review in 2001. Currently, she is working on her Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy degree through Andrews University in Michigan

Tim Flynn PT, PhD, OCS, FAAOMPT Dr. Flynn is board certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists, and a frequent research presenter at state, national, and international meetings. Dr. Flynn is widely published including 5 book chapters, nearly 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts, and over 50 published abstracts on orthopaedics, biomechanics, and manual therapy issues. He was the editor and author of the Butterworth-Heinemann textbook The Thoracic Spine and Ribcage- Musculoskeletal Evaluation & Treatment and author of 3 educational CD-ROMs on Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. Dr. Flynn has received research grants from the Department of Defense, Foundation for Physical Therapy and the Texas Physical Therapy Education and Research Foundation. Awards include the James A. Gould Excellence in Teaching Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, the Steven J. Rose Excellence in Research, the AAOMPT Outstanding Research Award (twice), and the Distinguished Alumnus- Marquette University Program in Physical Therapy. He past chair of the AAOMPT research committee and the ATPA Orthopaedic Section nominating committee. Dr. Flynn also co-authored the Manipulation Education Manual (MEM) jointly developed by the APTA and AAOMPT for use in professional physical therapist programs. Dr. Flynn continues to maintain an active research agenda in the areas of spinal and extremity manipulation, low back disorders, characterization of spinal instability, and the development of clinical prediction rules. Dr. Flynn is an expert clinician; he is owner of Flynn Physical Therapy (www.flynnpt.com) which specializes in the management of chronic musculoskeletal complaints. He founded Manipulations, Inc. a company dedicated to providing evidence-based educational products and services to practitioners and educational institutions involved in musculoskeletal patient care. He is a member of the executive board of Evidence in Motion (www.evidenceinmotion.com) an education and business practice consultation company whose sole reason for existence is to create and promote a culture of evidence-based practice within the physical therapy profession. Dr. Flynn is currently an Associate Editor for the Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy (www.jospt.org) and President of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (www.aaompt.org). Dr. Flynn serves as an Associate Professor and the Manual Therapy Fellowship Coordinator, Department of Physical Therapy, Regis University (www.regis.edu/tdpt) where he teaches professional and post-professional students in the area of musculoskeletal management and evidence based practice.

Josh Cleland PT, DPT, PhD, OCS, FAAOMPT Dr Cleland earned a Master of Physical Therapy Degree from Notre Dame College in 2000, the Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Creighton University in 2001 and his PhD from Nova Southeastern University in 2006 for his dissertation work titled "Development of a Clinical Prediction Rule to Identify Patients with Neck Pain Likely to Benefit from Thoracic Spine Manipulation". He also recently completed a 6-month Post Doctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Utah. Dr Cleland is currently an Associate Professor at Franklin Pierce College in Concord, NH. He received board certification from the American Physical Therapy Association as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2002. Dr Cleland also recently completed a fellowship in orthopaedic manual therapy through Regis University in Denver, Colorado. His research interests focus on the identification of subgroups of patients with spinal and extremity disorders that are likely to benefit from specific physical therapy interventions as well as the specificity of manual therapy techniques. His research efforts haveled to over 50 peer-reviewed publications. He is an Editorial Review Board Member for Physical Therapy and the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy and an Associate Editor for the Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy and serves as a reviewer for Physical Therapy, Spine, Manual Therapy, Accountability in Research, Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics. Dr Cleland recently authored a textbook titled “Orthopaedic Clinical Examination: An Evidence-Based Approach for Physical Therapists”. |
Laurie McLaughlin DScPT, MCPA, FCAMT Laurie graduated from McMaster University in Oakville, Ontario , Canada and received her Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association with distinction. She has developed and taught continuing education courses in Canada since 1987, joined the NAIOMT faculty in the USA in 1992 and more recently has taught courses in Europe and Australia . Since 1992 she has been a national examiner for physiotherapists specializing in orthopaedics in Canada and was a Chief Examiner for Canada from 1999 to 2005. Laurie is also a NAIOMT examiner. She has presented at many national and international conferences and has received a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy at Andrews University in Michigan as well as being a Senior Consultant for LifeMark Health.

Peter Huijbregts PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, FCAMT Dr. Huijbregts was born and raised in the Netherlands, moved to the USA in 1994, and has been living in Canada since 2001. His academic qualifications include a BSc in PT from the Hogeschool Eindhoven (1990), an MSc in Manual Therapy from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (1994), an MHSc in PT from the University of Indianapolis (1997), and a DPT degree (2001) from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. He holds specialty certificates in strength training and conditioning, manual therapy, and functional capacity evaluation and is recognized as a board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (1998), as a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (1999), and as a Fellow in the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (2002). He has also completed a certification in a form of dry needling using acupuncture needles known as Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (2004). His teaching experience includes adjunct faculty appointments for the orthopaedic curriculum at Grand Valley State University and Pacific University. Clinical teaching experience includes being a CI to some 45 PT students and a CCCE to 65 PT and PTA students. He has in the past also developed and taught in an orthopaedic manual therapy residency at his clinical work place. He has also served an educational credentials reviewer for the FCCPT and is currently also working as an educational consultant for Dynamic Physical Therapy in Cadillac, MI and as a marketing consultant for Physio 2 Go in Victoria, BC. Writing experience includes a book on strength training in sports and rehabilitation, multiple articles, two chapters on the lumbopelvic region in the 2001 Orthopaedic Section home study course Current Concepts of Orthopedic Physical Therapy, one chapter on ergogenic substances in the 2006 Orthopaedic Section home study course Pharmacology, and a chapter on cervicogenic dizziness and differential diagnosis of dizziness in the 2007 Orthopaedic Section home study course Vestibular Rehabilitation. He was a member of the associate editorial board of the Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy from 2000-2005 and served as the Journal’s Editor-in-Chief from 2005-2007. He is alsoa member of the scientific board of Rehabilitacja Medyczna, a book reviewer for Physical Therapy, a manuscript reviewer for Physiotherapy Canada, has served a two-year term as item writer for the ABPTS orthopaedic exam, and works as a consulting editor for Jones and Bartlett Publishers.

Erl Pettman PT, MCSP, MCPA, FCAMT Erl received his diploma in Physiotherapy from the Nottingham School of Physiotherapy ( England ) in 1972 and from the National Academy of Acupuncture in 1976. He has been an Examiner for the Canadian Manual Therapy Examinations since 1980 and Chief Examiner from 1982-2002. In addition to being a senior faculty and President with NAIOMT, he has been a certified manual therapy instructor for the Olaf Evenjth system since 1990. His chapter on Upper Cervical Instability was published in “Modern Manual Therapy”, 2nd ed 1992 and he has presented papers at IFOMT Proceedings in 198, 1988 and 1992. Erl developed the integrated quadrant system of evaluation in 1980, a three month manual therapy course in Western Canada in 1982 and founded NAIOMT in 1984. He is currently practicing in Abbotsford , BC , Canada and is researching early intervention work conditioning.
